All 8th grade students applying to Guerin Catholic are required to take the High School Placement Test (HSPT). The HSPT consists of subtests in the areas of Verbal Skills, Quantitative Skills, Reading, Math, and Language. The test results provide our Counseling Department additional insights into the students academic abilities to help ensure proper placement into Freshman classes. The test score can also qualify students for a Guerin Catholic scholarship.
Parents of prospective students are invited to join us to meet our Admissions staff, learn about the admissions process, and hear from a current student and members of our faculty and staff. A tour of the building will be provided for the morning sessions only. Check-in for the morning sessions begins at 7:45am and the event will start promptly at 8am. For the evening sessions, check-in begins at 5:45pm and the event starts promptly at 6pm.
